Vidd — Swedish for broadness, expanse and scale. A brand-new agency, Vidd needed a website to showcase their fantastic work in the field of PR & event coordination. We were happy to help them with establishing their brand online.

A newly-formed agency — Vidd put together a mood board to accompany their new brand identity as a starting-off point for us to get creative with the design for their new website.

The proposed colour palette, logotypes and logomarks we had to work with were an instant hit. Playful, modern & stylish.

Close collaboration with Vidd's creative director meant we maintained a shared vision for the new site's look & feel. The process was backed up by a super collection of pre-prepared images and videos to truly showcase Vidd's wonderful work.

Decent performance is becoming increasingly important for websites to rank highly on search engines — especially brand-new ones. With this in mind, we put an emphasis on making sure the new Vidd site's Core Web Vital scores were consistently over 90. We're not sure anyone has run as many Google Lighthouse tests for one project as we did for this one.

What's Google Lighthouse? It's a thing built into their Chrome browser which gives you a quick assessment of a site's performance scores and provides hints on what can be improved. It's rare to hit 100 but we consistently did with this one for Vidd — chase that rainbow!

To achieve such consistently high Lighthouse scores picking the right tech stack was key. After some discussion and deliberation (and rapid prototyping/benchmarking) we settled on NextJS.

A React-based framework — NextJS proved a great tool for the job. Well supported and future-proof — sorting the right tech stack at the start of a project is so important to its success and with NextJS we absolutely nailed it here.
